Christmas Hours

The Joint Municipal Office will be closed from December 24th at noon (12 pm) to January 1st.  We will re-open January 2, 2025 at 8am. The Council and staff of Casey Township wish you all a safe and Merry Christmas.

***New Landfill Hours***

Effective October 1, 2024 there will be new hours at the Harley Municipal Landfill.

ONLINE TAX PAYMENTS

The Township of Casey now accepts Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT) payments from the following major financial institutions for property taxes:

• Royal Bank of Canada (RBC)
• Toronto-Dominion (TD)
• Bank of Nova Scotia (Scotiabank)
• Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC)
• Caisse Populaire Desjardins

To pay property taxes by EFT, residents will first need to add the Township of Casey as a Payee in the bill payment section of their financial institution’s website. Current payee names for each corresponding financial institution are as follows:

Please confirm with each financial institution as payee names are subject to change.

In addition to the Payee name, residents will also require their Roll Number. This 19-digit number can be found in the top right-hand corner on a recent property tax bill or receipt (5429-###-###-#####-####) and should be entered as per your financial institution’s instructions. Please note, that each roll number must be paid separately. Residents owning multiple properties must set up multiple payees.

Fire Permits

The Township of Casey offers fire permits free of charge. Small campfires in fire pit do NOT require a permit. Any uncontained burning requires a permit.  Please fill out the application and return it to the Municipal office (email – admin@casey.ca or  in person at 903303 Hanbury Road). Please plan ahead to allow sufficient time for the application to be approved.

Tires Not Accepted at Landfill

Tires will NOT be accepted at the Harley Township Landfill Site effective July 1 2020 until further notice.

DO NOT BAG RECYCLING

When bringing recyclables to the landfill site, residents are reminded to NOT bag them. The only exeption to this is paper shredding which can be bagged in a clear plastic bag. Thank you for your attention to this matter and thank you for recycling.
